Edward A. Smith – Attorney

Ed Smith was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, he settled in Sacramento, California. Ed’s practice is devoted solely to Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases on behalf of injured persons.

Ed believes an injury or an illness can enable us to focus on the deeper meaning in our lives, and he works with his clients to help explore the physical, psychological, relational and spiritual ramifications of their injuries. Ed is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California and the American Trial Lawyers Association. When he is not in court, Ed enjoys reading, traveling, scuba diving, weight lifting and gardening.

Alexander O. Lichtner – Attorney

Alex Lichtner is an attorney “of counsel” with our office, performing work on many of our personal injury lawsuits. Alex received his J.D. from the U.C. Davis Law School in 1978 and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from U.C. Santa Cruz. Since 1980 Alex has specialized in civil litigation with emphases in Personal Injury, Professional Liability, Insurance, and General Civil Law.

He is a member of the arbitration panels in El Dorado, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties and has acted a both a private and court-appointed arbitrator. He is also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, California Consumer Attorneys, and Sacramento Consumer Attorneys.

Gregory P. Munsill – Paralegal/Case Manager

Greg Munsill joined the Law Offices of Edward A. Smith in 1987 as a Paralegal and as one of two long- term staff members who helped Mr. Smith build the business in its early years. From 2000 to 2010 he operated his own internet services and consulting business, returning to our law firm in 2011.

Greg studied biochemistry at the University of Dallas and business administration and history at C.S.U. Sacramento and has a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and a Business Analysis certificate from U.C. Davis.

Robert Smith – Paralegal/Case Manger

Robert Smith received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, a Master’s degree in business administration from C.S.U. Sacramento, and a J.D. degree from Concord Law School. After having worked seven years for California State Automobile Association’s in-house auto liability defense counsel, he joined the Law Offices of Edward A. Smith in the Fall of 2001.

Julianne Reynolds – Paralegal/Case Manager

Julianne Reynolds has been with Law Offices of Edward Smith since 1993. She started out as the front desk receptionist and has been trained as a paralegal at our office. In 2001, she left to pursue missionary work and served as a volunteer teacher in Russia and Panama. This has allowed her to study languages, and she is able to help our office’s Spanish and Russian speaking clients. She returned to Law Offices of Edward A. Smith in 2008.

Megan McGuire – Paralegal/Case Manager

Megan McGuire has a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento. She worked for insurance defense firms in Portland, Oregon and a small plaintiff’s firm in Folsom, California before joining the Law Offices of Edward A. Smith in October 2010.
